Change Management - Overview
Change Management is the process,
tools and techniques to manage the people-side of change
processes, to achieve the required outcomes, and to realize
the change effectively within the individual change agent,
the inner team, and the wider system.
There is variety of concepts on Change Management and it
is very difficult to extract a common concept or methodology
from all the sources that implement the concept in relation
to Business and IT development.
“Change is the only thing that is constant.”
Organisations and people need to constantly adapt, and mould
themselves to the ever changing dynamics of business and
IT environment to bring about a positive and profitable
change. In other words, change is the result from an organizational
learning process that centres around the questions: 'In
order to maintain, surpass and grow the Business Information
Systems, the organization and individuals within; what is
the process involved, what is the expertise needed to sustain
and where do we need to change?', and, 'How can we manage
a change, that is consistent with the values and objectives
we hold as individuals and as organizations?'
